Don’t Miss the Nirox Winter Sculpture Exhibition
Featuring Yoko Ono, Esther Mahlangu, and Mary Sibande

The NIROX Foundation will host its annual Winter sculpture exhibition this May, in collaboration with the Swedish sculpture park, Wanås Konst/The Wanås Foundation.
Titled Not A Single Story, the exhibition takes its name from the TED Talk by Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, who puts forward the idea that diversity is a form of strength, rather than division.
Showcasing a diverse collection of artists such as Esther Mahlangu, Mary Sibande, Nelisiwe Xaba, Jane Alexander, Beth Diane Armstrong, Frances Goodman, and even Yoko Ono, the exhibition is interested in showcasing works by forerunners alongside emerging artists.
By looking at global dialogues through individual practices, contemporary concerns will be brought together to provide a wide range of perspectives. In addition to the exhibiting of various works, the NIROX Winter Programme will include educational exchanges, a performance programme, talks, tours, and workshops, as well as a wider range of enterprises such as concerts and pop-up restaurants, in order to stimulate creative thought and promote good values.
The NIROX Winter Sculpture Exhibition runs from 12 May – 29 July 2018. Find out more on the NIROX website.
